Members of Congress should have a thorough understanding
of the tax code they impose on other Americans.
II. The "I Will Not Become a Lobbyist" Pledge
“I pledge that if elected to federal office I will never thereafter work as a paid federal lobbyist.
Just like President Obama, I will require my staff to pledge that they will not work as a paid federal lobbyist while I hold elected federal public office.”
Members of Congress and their staff should be focused on serving
the public not on a future career as a lobbyist.
III. Unleash the Congressional Ethics Committees
“I will introduce and support a House or Senate Rule allowing 50% of the Ethics Committee to conduct an ethics investigation.”
Members of one political party in Congress should not be able
to block ethics investigations.
